Vulcan Cyber Selected as Finalist for RSAC 2020 Innovation Sandbox Contest

Rhett | January 30, 2020

Continuing to rack up accolades for automating the remediation process of vulnerabilities at speed and scale, Vulcan Cyber is named one of the 10 most innovative companies at RSA Conference 2020

Tel Aviv – January 28, 2020 –  Vulcan Cyber, the industry’s first Automated Vulnerability Remediation (AVR) company, has been named one of 10 finalists for the RSA Conference 2020 Innovation Sandbox Contest for its work enabling companies to automate the remediation process of business critical vulnerabilities. On Monday, February 24, Vulcan Cyber will present its cybersecurity technology to a panel of renowned industry judges and a live audience at RSA Conference 2020 in San Francisco. Vulcan Cyber invites attendees to stop by and visit its booth, ESE-32, located at Moscone Center South or to set up an appointment to speak with one of its experts.

“The cybersecurity industry faces constant changes and challenges, and we need bold thinkers like Vulcan Cyber and the other companies represented at RSAC Innovation Sandbox to drive the industry forward and protect the world against new threats,” said Linda Martin Gray, Senior Director and General Manager, RSA Conference. “We are always blown away by the caliber of ideas presented on stage, and perhaps even more exciting, the impact the companies and the bright minds behind them ultimately make on the world after the Conference concludes.”

Vulcan Cyber is a vulnerability remediation and orchestration platform that’s modernizing the way enterprises reduce cyber risk. With its remediation-driven approach, Vulcan automates and orchestrates the vulnerability remediation lifecycle, enabling security, operational and business teams to effectively remediate cyber risks at scale. Through its proprietary AI-driven Remediation Intelligence, the world’s largest database of solutions for vulnerabilities containing millions of remediation actions be they patches, configuration changes, workarounds or compensating controls, Vulcan identifies the most efficient solution for every vulnerability, a solution that can be deployed automatically. The platform enables effective, scaled remediation, leveraging existing tools and processes in place today to drive results and reduce cyber-risk.

Since Vulcan Cyber has launched, it has started to rack up accolades for its innovative approach to managing cyber risk. In addition to being selected as an Innovation Sandbox finalist, Gartner, Inc. named it as one if it’s Cool Vendors in Security and Risk Management, 2H19* report in October 2019 (Gartner subscription required).

“If you look at it from a security standpoint, we seem to be living in a world of problems, rather than solutions. The reality is, security and IT Operations teams don’t know how to remediate vulnerabilities and security gaps effectively, or predict unwanted side-effects caused by these remediation actions” said Yaniv Bar-Dayan, co-founder and CEO of Vulcan Cyber. “Our goal at Vulcan is to help enterprises remediate these gaps. We aspire to eliminate these challenges and enable teams to effectively reduce cyber-risk. We are humbled and excited that our value proposition is resonating so strongly, and what better way to start off the year than to be named one of the 10 most innovative companies at RSA 2020.”

Since 2005, the RSAC Innovation Sandbox has served as a platform for the most promising young cybersecurity companies to showcase their groundbreaking technologies and compete for the title of “Most Innovative Startup.” The competition is widely recognized as a catapult for success, as the top 10 finalists have collectively seen 48 acquisitions and $5.2 billion in funding over the last 15 years. Vulcan Cyber will have three minutes to pitch the panel of judges before a question-and-answer round.

The RSAC Innovation Sandbox Contest kicks off at 1:30 p.m. PT on February 24 and winners will be announced at 4:30 p.m. that same day. Dr. Herbert (Hugh) Thompson, Program Committee Chair of RSA Conference, will return to host the contest. The panel of renowned expert judges includes Asheem Chandna, Partner, Greylock Partners; Scott Darling, President, Dell Technologies Capital; Dorit Dor, VP Products, Check Point Software Technologies; Patrick Heim, , Partner and CISO ClearSky; and Paul Kocher, Researcher and Entrepreneur.
